INTRODUCTION
Hong Kong is a very densely populated city with buildings closely packed together and therefore fire prevention at home is of paramount importance to every citizen. the following are major fire risks which often exist in domestic buildings : -
| wedging open of smoke doors; | |
| locking of roof and other exit doors; | |
| obstruction to means of escape such as common corridor or staircase; | |
| unauthorized building alteration and/or change in use of occupancy; | |
| lack of proper maintenance of fire service installations and equipment. |
